High Priestess with Grunty

This is a self portrait as the High Priestess tarot card, with some minor modifications. Instead of holding a scroll that says “tora,” the letters are tattooed on her knuckles. She holds oil pastels as her magic implements, and sits with a Grunty on her lap. The Grunty, a character from Japanese animation, figures into my art frequently to convey the whimsy that pervades my life.
