Newgrange
The Tuatha d é Danann took up residence in this ancient and powerful sidhe mound, Brú na Bóinne, after the Milesians narrowly defeated them in battle. People today know this
place by its new name Newgrange, though this is a misnomer since “new grange” means “new farm” and this ancient site predates agrarian society. It, too, functions as a complex calendar and ritual site.
